Does anyone know how to keep my hair straighter apart from using hair straighteners?

I have just had my hair layed. My hair is thick and blond and when they cut it, they straightened it too. Now, its gone completly puffy and weird. Is their any way to keep my hair straighter apart from using hair straighteners too often?

dont let it air dry. when you get out of the shower, put a good hair product in it( use one that smooths out the hair.) and wrap a towel around it for about 15 min. when you take off the towel brush you hair and blowdry it with a diffuser (blowdry down wards on the hottest temp.). after blowdrying it, put the product back in your hair. and your hair is shiney and smooth.

Well, stop using volume infusing items, and stop using curling shampoos. Some shampoos on the market have somethings to straighten the hair. keep your hair hydrated and cleaned from any gels for an even better look.

after showering dont blow dry your hair up side down!! blow dry from the top and with your fingers pull down while blow drying! i have the same problem and trust me, this way really does work.

at walgreens they sell these temporary hair straighteners that are velcro strips from goody for about 1 dollar for a pack of four. they really work but might cause slight static.also pantene has this shampoo called extra straight that is the best at straightening wavy hair. ask a salon for tips too.

blow your hair dry with the dryer pointing downward the whole time...(closes the cuticle) and slowly drag a paddle brush with the dryer at the same time...wont make it as straigt as an iron but will make it shiny and managable

um duh. Of course box hair color works, just make sure that if you are trying a new color that you go and get a level one or a non permanent, and then if you decide you like the color you go ahead and get the level 2 or 3 or permanent.

Yea some work better then others. It also depends on your hair. If its think or thin or hard to dye. I personally think that Loreal is the best out there.

All hair dyes WORK and all roots grow in the same. It's just whether you're willing to be committed to keep redoing your roots or not. If not, you can always just dye your hair back to a color very close to your natural hair color when your roots grow in, so it won't look as "trashy".

On another note: This method may be cheaper, but I always recommend getting it professionally done.

Yes it really works... i know how to do professional tecniques to hair with foil and what not... its not the dye its more or less the way you put it on your hair... and well i guess i should say some dyes out there... well they are not created equal... if you want to go blonde get maxi blonde its in a white and blue box... it works just like the professional stuff... when you do your hair just do the roots... and it tells you how you can mix it up tablespoons at a time... so one box should last you about 4 times of doing your roots... if you want it to process faster wrap your head with plastic wrap and blow dry evenly... :) It will look orange at first but keep letting it process... you cant screw up blonde unless you take it out to fast :)

if you want it all one color, you're going to have to do your whole head, not just the roots. if you're going to dye it all blonde, I'd suggest seeing a professional because the brown may have to be stripped from the ends. dyeing it brown would be easier. also, depending upon the length and thickness of your hair, you may need more than one box of dye. good luck.

I dyed my hair blonde then simply dyed over it with dark brown to go back to my natural color. Worked for me.

However, if you want to go blonde over brown, it'll turn orange. It needs to be bleached first before the color/toner.

I'd have to say "STOP", don't do it.

The blond will get reddish and muddy and you'll be ticked at yourself in the end.

I have done this so many times that I've lost track. Go back to your professional. With blonde, they "fill" in the hair (don't ask how, I don't know) but that stuff helps maintain the new color. A good professional hair colorist will redo your hair in a week or two if it doesn't take. It is well worth the money for results that make people comment on how beautiful you are, not your hair!!!

I highlight my hair and when i need my roots doing i always go to the hairdressers. Using a bottle for going dark is fine but if you are blonde it will go ginger. So i would advice to get your roots done at a salon. Theres nothing worth than having orange roots lol.

What should i do about my hair?

First, don't let any hairstylist straighten your hair again, it really didn't sound like it went too well.

Second, let your hair grow out. There are products to put in your hair so it won't be that frizzy, and I wouldn't recommend blow drying your hair. Because ultimately, the blow dryer does make hair want to "frizz up".

Just put your hair in some rollers, when it is kind of wet. And leave it there for awhile.

Don't straighten it, because your hair isn't in the best of shape. Love it and take care of it! Haha.

And last but not least, I would go have your hair trimmed a little. To grow your hair out long and healthy, have a trim every couple months. It really does work!
