Like others who've tried it, I didn't think it did all that much to lighten my hair except perhaps in the summer out in the sun. It does make your hair really shiny though.

Speaking from experience, I don't think it really lightens your hair that much. I tried it when I was younger and it didn't change the colour of my hair at all.

It will lighten it a little if you go out in the sun with it, it works better in the summer. You just put it on where you want the highlights.

dont put lemon juice directly on you hair

squezze somes lemons and dilute it with water and while in the shower pour it on but make sure u dony get any in your eyes! that could hurt!!

yea it does u just have to cut a lemon in half and start from the top of your head and rub it down your hair

I have used lemon juice and it does work. after you get out of the shower put the lemon juice in your hair then blow dry it on high heat. It is gradual but it does work.

Lemon juice does very little other than put a small glint of blondish in your hair if you tend to go blonde, and a small lighter red in your hair if you have red hair. You put it on and let the sun dry it. (Its too cold for this to happen now). A hairdryer is NOT going to do it. Its just wishful thinking.

In the store they sell Sun in and Touch of Sun which are supposed to be similar but they are NOT - never buy these, they are poison for your hair. They can make it brittle and fall out. Wait til summer and try the lemon juice then.

Take a toothbrush and put lemon juice on it and rub it on the top and through your hair. Go outside when it is sunny and sit outside for 45 min-1hour. AVOID going somewhere near bee's they will get attracted to the lemon.

It will lighten your hair but not all over and it will give a streaking effect and all over but you can never tell where it will streak until your hair dries so if yu want to take a chance go for it but it might mess up

Yes....it does.......if you used freshly squeezed...........and then go sit in the sun. Takes a few sessions to really work though.

hey the best way is take half lime n take an egg. wat u hav to do is seperate the egg yolk n the white one. add the lemon juice n the egg white n mix it up well. then with a piece of cotton gently soak it in the mixture n apply it were ever u want. n u will surely get want u want. i hav tried it. its working.all the best.

okay well, if you used lemon juice to lighten your hair, it will work but only if its used in the sun..

what i do is i just buy little bottles of hair lightener at CVS and places like that, but if you want to use lemon juice that'll work too

-Put the lemon juice in a little spray bottle and spray it where you'd like to see the highlights, otherwise if you just spray it everywhere it might make it look bleached and gross.

why would you want to get rid of your red hair. Red hair is something that people would die for!

But all you need to do is put lemon juice in a squirt bottle( you dont have to, but it works best) spray your hair, and LAY OUT IN THE SUN people make the mistake of not laying out, and it make their hair all sticky and junk

you need to lay out at least for a half an hour.

Yeah, I use it every summer. Workds great! It's a natural substitution for putting icky chemicals in your hair, which can sometimes seep through your scalp in small amounts... it's true.
