What do the salons use (hair color)?

Do they use full permanent hair color? Or semi-permanent long lasting?

Also, what are some popular brand of hair colors used by professional salons (blond)?

What do the salons use (hair color)?

if you go to a salon expect to have the color touched up every once in a while they usually use semi permanent. salons usually mix their own colors

My salon, uses a rinse, you have to use a rinse more often then permanent or semi permanent.

You have to be careful with perms, they can take your hair out.

if you are lightening hair it is 100% permant becaus ehtey strip color from your hair.

they use differnt levels of peroxide bleaches depending on how processed hair is, and how much color needs to be removed. the bleach is made more effective using heat.

Then they use a non peroxide base conditioning formula ontop to tone this is a semi permanent ( full perminant doesn't really exist because all hair dyes will fade depending)

Most salons carry different brands. All of them should have permanent AND semi-permanent hair color. If you are wanting a blonde color it depends on your natural color and if you have any color in your hair currently. If you have naturally light hair with no color in it, they can use a permanent hair color on it to make it blonde. If you already have color on your hair, or your hair is dark, they will have to use bleach. I personally like all the Redken colors and they have really awesome semi-permanent colors too. I like Matrix and Chi bleach though.

Hi,

Salons have different lines of color. They will carry demi-

permanent and permanet. Some may use semi-permanent.

They may even have kickers. Demi and semi are different.

Demi use a catalyst(a low volume peroxide) to make color last about 28 washes, whereas semi doesn't and won't last

as long. Some lines Wella, Redkin, So Color, Clairol and

the list goes on. Some color lines seem to last better than

others and some will fade to odd undertones. So Color

seems to last without odd undertones. Just shop around.

And ask questions. Good Luck.
