Streaked hair all one colour at the bottom?

I have my hair streaked with bleach blond and dark brown. I like the streaky effect. However, the bottom half of it looks all one colour - you cannot see the light and the dark seperatley. My hairdresser won't take the colour to the ends when she does my roots as she says it will ruin my hair - i don't care, i just want it to look how i want it! Has anyone else got this problem?

so i did it myself

it looked even more awsome, and went all the way to the bottom!

change your hairdresser...you pay the money they should do what you want...within reason..lol

i'm not sure i understand exactly what ur hairstylist wont do.. if u are getting a touch up root color then she's right- bringing color all the way thru to ur ends will mess it up.. but i don't understand why ur highlites aren't all the way to ur ends? is that what u're saying? if that's the case, all of ur highlites should be evenly done and done from root to end. u 're paying $$ for a service that isn't to ur liking then go somewhere else. good luck..

You need to tell her that she needs to give you full lowlights or highlights depending on what color needs to be taken through the ends. It will not ruin your hair. As long as she trims it after she colors it you'll be fine. If she still wont do it find a new stylist!

you have a good hairdresser and you should follow her advice.....If she says that it will ruin your hair, then it WILL ruin your hair.....hairdressers do the best they can to make a client happy and if we have to say NO to something, then there is a good reason.....do something else

I know exactly how you feel. in 15 years ive been to the hairdressers about five times because they just dont do what i want and dont see why i should pay them for something i didnt want. Im lucky that i have a friend whos a hairdresser who will do exactly what i want and keep her opinions to herself. 99% of the time its turned out fine but that 1% i went out and brought a hat. well it was barbie pink. goodluck anyway in finding someone but i wouldnt be sticking with the one youve got.
